At first glance an easy boulder problem, but look closely and there are some difficult moves to get right at the start!
This Pale Ale replicates the US West Coast Pale Ale style using only British malts and hops, a tricky thing to accomplish considering the power of US hop flavour versus their British counterparts. The key is to keep the malt bill simple, adding just enough Caramalt to provide some depth and colour, then load the beer with powerful hops and finish it off with a clean fermenting yeast. A simple looking beer with some hidden complexities!
